In a summons dated July 12, 2021 and relayed on social networks, Dr. Fridolin Nke is expected on July 21, 2021 at the Military Security Division (Semil) in Yaoundé. He was summoned there by Colonel Emile Bankoui, head of Semil, for inciting mutiny within the defense and security forces.

A day after this publication, an audio message, believed to be the result of a telephone exchange between the university teacher and the head of the Military Security Division, went around the web. In this “violent” telephone exchange, the head of the Military Security Division warns the academic not to give up his plan to make a direct report on him and the army. Except, the university teacher didn’t let that go in reminding his interlocutor that he is a public figure and anyone can talk about him.
