For MP Cabral Libii, the notoriety of the Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (CPNR) is now established in the national triangle. He made this known during a press briefing that he gave on November 15 in Yaoundé to formalize the holding of the first ordinary congress of the party of which he took the lead in 2019 after finishing in third place in the presidential election of October 2018 behind Paul Biya and Maurice Kamto.

In four years of presidency, Cabral Libii is proud of having brought the CPNR from the shadows to the light. Which is not wrong. His party has become the third political force in the National Assembly with 5 parliamentarians seats, behind the UNDP of Bello Bouba Maïgari (7 parliamentarians) and the CPDM, in power (139 parliamentarians).

Likewise, during the municipal elections of February 2020, the CPNR obtained 206 municipal councilors in the Center, Littoral and Adamaoua regions. That’s a total of 7 town halls controlled by Cabral Libii’s party; who is satisfied by explaining to journalists that the CPNR is one of the rare parties in Cameroon to have municipal councilors in the southern and northern parts of Cameroon.

Cabral Libii, on the other hand, is far from wanting to stop at this level of progress. He is mobilizing for 2025, the year of the next presidential election which he intends to win at the polls to implement his program. He has already promised to put an end to corruption and even the accumulation of white elephants, if he ever joins the Etoudi palace in 2025.

In the meantime, he is actively preparing this first ordinary congress which he has made official. We now know that this congress will be held from December 15 to 17 in the town of Kribi. It will be coupled with the organization of the 20th anniversary of the CPNR, founded in 2003 by Robert Kona and Albert Fleury Massardine.
