These are the employees of the Magil group’s subcontracting companies; who claim, among other things, the non-payment of all of their respective invoices.

Cameroon ACTU Online learns that a strike of the employees of the subcontracting companies of the MAGIL group is announced for this Monday, December 20, 2021. Because of this strike, these employees evoke the deterioration of working conditions, the preservation of professional rights and non-payment of all invoices to date.

Initially, the said strike was scheduled for December 23, 2021, but the organizers opted for this Monday, December 20, 2021. The date of this Monday, is not fortuitous, because the managers of Magil are going on leave as of this Wednesday, December 22. Thus, the mobilization of the strikers will take shape by the suspension of work from 7:30 am to 6 pm.

It should be noted that it is the Paul Biya Stadium of Olembe which will host the opening and closing match of the 33rd African Cup of Nations which begins next January in Cameroon. The Construction work on the stadium has been stalled for 10 years.
