The meeting scheduled for September 3, 2021 is part of the inaugural match at the Olembe Stadium in Yaoundé.

No spectators for the inaugural match at the Olembe stadium in Yaoundé. The meeting which will be disputed between the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and Malawi will be behind closed doors. So decided by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA). The information was released on August 30, 2021 by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi. It was during the preparatory meeting for this match counting towards the first day of qualifying for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

We learned at the end of this meeting that the stadium will only accommodate 200 people. These are mainly special guests, match officials and accredited journalists. It must be said that since the occurrence of the coronavirus in 2020, the protocols of the matches of CAF and FIFA covid-19 clearly stipulate that all matches are played behind closed doors.

Yesterday August 31, 24 Indomitable Lions summoned performed their first training session at the annex stadium of the Olembe Complex.

To this end, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi came to encourage the five-fold champions of Africa.
