The National Social Security Fund (NSSF), Cameroon’s social security system, has launched a platform dedicated to remote registration on its web portal.
According to the CEO of the NSSF, Noêl Alain Olivier Mekulu Mvondo, this involves “facilitating and considerably reducing the processing times for registration applications”. So, he adds,
Employers and workers can “self-register and directly obtain an employer and/or insured number” from the CNPS website. For the CEO of the NSSF, “total employer/insured remote registration remains the preferred and rapid means of obtaining a registration number”.
For several years, the NSSF“for any employer and insured registration operation, travel is no longer necessary, except in cases of difficulty or summons” has launched a process of total dematerialization of its services. The NSSF has thus launched the digitalization of calls for tenders and the payment of retirees’ pensions by electronic transfer; online declaration of salaries and payment of social security contributions; or even submitting a service file online.
“If the NSSF is able to launch into what appears to be a high-tech service, it is thanks to a user-oriented information system, which offers better guarantees of security, reliability, traceability, speed and availability of data“, Mukulu Mvondo then defended.
