The Forum on “Modernization to Chinese” opened on April 21 in Shanghai with the motive of opening up new opportunities for the world. Diplomatic mission leaders, academics, business figures, new technology giants and entrepreneurs from around the world looked on as the world walks in the pursuit of economic revival following the Covid-19 crisis. On the occasion of Meet-the-World Lounge by Shanghai’s Huangpu River, where the Forum called “Lanting” is being held for the first time, a variety of views have converged to support sustainable peace across the globe. This is the 42nd edition of the diplomatic forum focused on international relations that takes place in the Middle Empire.
According to Qin Gang, State Counselor and Foreign Minister, “Modernization to Chinese and the World” is an approach that will give a stronger impetus to the global economic recovery. China’s foreign minister says it is a modernization marked by common prosperity that will provide broader choices for shared development among the countries. Modernization shouldn’t make the rich richer or the poor poorer. Nor should she serve a minority of countries or people. “The common prosperity of all peoples demands a shared development of all countries.” Qin Gang concluded at the opening of work that mobilized one thousand people on April 21 in Shanghai, China, the world’s largest city with 80 million inhabitants.
